MVP's Open at Austin Recap: Niklas Wins in a Playoff & Holyn Hangs On!

Complete breakdown of MVP Open at Austin results and preview of Music City Open

πŸŽ‰ MVP Open at Austin Recap

Niklas Antilla Clinches Playoff Victory & Holyn Handley Hangs On!

What a weekend at MVP's Open at Austin presented by Flight Factory Discs! Two courses, four rounds, and some of the most intense finishes we've seen all season.

In MPO, Niklas Anttila proved last year was no fluke, catching Kyle Klein on hole 18 of the final round to force a playoff β€” and then sealed it in extra holes. It's his second DGPT win, and a fantasy performance to remember.

Kyle Klein was locked in from the start, tied for the lead at -12 after Round 1, and held solo first place until the final hole of the final day. Crushing. He came up just short, but fantasy managers were still rewarded with a massive performance.

In FPO, Holyn Handley held off a relentless charge from Kristin LΓ€tt, who erased a five-stroke deficit in the final round. On hole 18, Kristin had a 70-foot jump putt to force a playoff β€” a perfect strong-side line that hit high off the band and dropped harmlessly to the mulch. Holyn walked away with the win as the only FPO player to finish under par for the event.
