The MVP Music City Open wrapped up with another action-packed weekend and major fantasy shifts across both divisions. Despite the severe rain and extreme weather in Nashville leading up to the tournament, the course held up surprisingly well, and the event ran smoothly β even with weather delays and an unexpected cut after Round 2 in what was originally scheduled as a 3-round event.
In MPO, Niklas Anttila is quickly becoming the player to watch in 2025. Starting the final round two strokes behind Paul McBeth, Niklas caught fire β tying the course record with a -13, including birdies on 13 of the first 16 holes. It was another come-from-behind win for the Finn, who's proving he can hunt down any lead.
In FPO, Kristin LΓ€tt delivered yet another signature comeback performance, fueled by her elite mental toughness and unwavering focus. She was four strokes back with seven holes to play, and still three back with just two holes to go. But as she's done so many times before, she never gave in β tying it up on hole 18 and then defeating Silva Saarinen in a playoff.
As Charlie Eisenhood, rocking his best Casual Friday look on commentary, noted β this finish mirrored last year's Green Mountain Championship, where Kristin came from five back with five to play to beat Silva in a playoff. Some players fade late β Kristin finishes.
